Hello I’m, Veronica Musie, founder and owner of Vera’s Catering located in the Greater Washington DC area.
I truly believe food feeds the soul, and that it also serves as the single greatest unitfier of people from all walks of life and cultures.
I was inspired by my childhood experiences to become a culinary artist. Born and raised in Ethiopia, my first culinary experience and most influential, was my mother’s organic homemade meals.
Those meals were full of nutrient-dense and fresh foods from my family’s backyard.
After migrating to the United States, I found myself tapping into the culinary passion while working at top American restaurants and managing authentic Ethiopian restaurants. My childhood in Ethiopia, along with my work experiences in America, prompted me to start a catering company that focuses on healthy fusion recipes that cross cultures.
The meals I make for my customers are made with the same ingredients, love and exquisite taste that I provide for my family at home in Virginia. With a large and diverse menu, there’s no limit to my Catering Service. I provide one-of-a-kind meals for weddings, office meetings, or even casual social gatherings. For an unforgettable experience, contact me, Vera’s Catering, for all of your culinary needs.
As for me, a large part of my culinary inspiration drives my everyday life. I am a wife, mother of three active boys,
I am also a blessed and thriving breast cancer survivor and awareness advocate. My social impact mission is to continue to support breast cancer awareness through activities conducted by Alpha Breast Cancer Support and Services; a 501-c (3) non-profit organization which I am the founder as well.
